Karen Balderi became a trail guide volunteer at Audubon in spring of 2008. She so enjoyed learning new things about the natural world and sharing her knowledge with the many children who come to Audubon on field trips. Unfortunately, Karen lost her battle with breast cancer on July 3rd 2009. Before she died, she requested that donations in her memory be made to Jamestown Audubon Society and that the donations be earmarked for education. Therefore, in her memory, Little Explorers will be Karen’s program.
Friends of Karen and Nic Balderi have organized the Karen Balderi Memorial Golf Outing, all proceeds of which will benefit the Little Explorers program. The event will take place on September 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Anyone interested in participating can download the registration form by clicking–> here. Deadline to register is August 31st.
