On the first Saturday in December*, any time between 11 and 4, visit Audubon to make handmade decorations and gifts for the holidays. You can also hike, visit Liberty the Bald Eagle, shop in the nature store, and explore our indoor exhibits.  Here’s how it will work:

  • Regular admissions apply:  Members and children free, non-member adults pay $5.  (If you are coming ONLY for the wreath-making workshop, the exhibit admission fee can be waived.)
  • Children’s crafts will be on the 2nd floor.  Donation cans will be on the tables.  Feel free to give what you feel the materials are worth.
  • Wreath-making workshops (30-45 minutes each) will be offered 3 times throughout the day.  The cost of these workshops is $5.  The wreath you create during the workshop will stay at Audubon for decoration or for us to sell as a fund-raiser… unless you have fallen in love with it, in which case you can pay 5 more dollars to take it home.

*No, you’re not going crazy… we did used to have this on the Friday after Thanksgiving.  We moved it!

We will still be open on the Friday after Thanksgiving! It’s a great day to bring your family and friends and show off Your Audubon!
