Making the SoupThanksgiving with the Birds
Our oldest tradition is still going strong. On the Saturday before Thanksgiving, we gather at the Center at around 11. Each participant brings a (non-cream) soup to add to the community soup pot, and a dish to pass. Audubon provides turkeys, guests provide all the side dishes. After the dinner, a speaker entertains the diners as they digest their meal.

 Our 2008 speaker was Sara Baker Michalak.  She presented readings from her book The Garden Within.
